Idée Fix

My typeface ‘Idée Fix’ was inspired by the romanticised living seen in vintage French 1960–1970 travel magazines and photography. Named after an idea or desire that dominates the mind; an obsession, the typeface incorporates  sharp elongated serifs contrasted with full rounded forms. The typeface includes an uppercase, small caps, full number and punctuation sets as well as three alternate letter variations and accompanying ligatures. The final design is vain in its embellishments, yet modest in its elegance.
