Let me
be Frank
Dale Frank is a celebrated Australian contemporary artist. This simple and single-minded identity for a hypothetical exhibition is built around an idea expressed by Frank himself; that viewing a single painting, or even a collection, cannot be enough for someone to understand the artist, and it is only through a comprehensive understanding of his entire body of work that someone can begin to truly see him.
Through the use of broken type and scattered letterforms alongside experimental materials and a stark black-and-white colour palette, information on invitations and booklets are only legible when all the layers are physically brought together, inviting the user to literally view his work as a whole.
